Hello and welcome, my name is Bruna and I am originally from Brazil. I was an international model for over a decade and lived in many different countries before settling on O’ahu in 2013. The demands of my modeling career gave me great appreciation for my body and Pilates offered a way to maintain it.
What started as a practice for myself became something I wanted to share with others, so here I am, trying my best at sharing one of my favorite ways to stay healthy.
I have completed over 750 hours of training and I am certified by Pilates O Ka La. I believe ”Once a teacher stops learning, the teacher should stop teaching”, so I maintain my own practice by training with Sandy Shimoda and the team at Vintage Pilates.
THE PILATES METHOD
Pilates as I know it, follows the original method designed by Joseph Pilates. Unlike fusion-based classes, which incorporate other movement techniques, I focus on the original exercises using authentic equipment.
I believe this approach of Pilates is great at creating real change. The Pilates Method was built so well that I see no reason to change any of it, as I have experienced the amazing results in myself and have watched my clients get strong and move away from pain.
It is truly a powerful and transformative system. I feel so lucky to have this exercise method in my life.
This Method of exercise is for everyone. It is something you will carry with you the more you practice.
